CRM Customization Toolkit
The CRM Customization Toolkit will allow you to implement two of the most useful functions provided by our native CRM integrations within your own custom-built CRM or other applications.
Using a set of JSPs (JavaServer Pages) you can bring in Act-On Activity History data and mailing capabilities directly. These can often take the place of multiple API calls and can significantly reduce the number of requests needed to bring information to the user.
Once the JSPs are in place, users will be able to see the details and timeline of an individual’s recent engagements, and quickly send an Act-On message to any lead or contact, directly from within your CRM or other application.
The toolkit consists of three JSPs. These can be implemented in a variety of CRMs and server platforms.
The first piece of the toolkit is a Login JSP - this allows the user to connect to your Act-On account from within your CRM and place an authentication cookie on the user’s browser. It is required for automatic login, otherwise the user will be prompted to log in manually. Duration of the login session can be set as an admin in AO under Profile -> Policies -> Automatic Logout
The second is the Activity History JSP. This allows you to bring up a contact’s behavior history window - pages they visited, content they’ve downloaded, messages they’ve opened, and more.
Finally, the Send Message JSP opens the message editor in a stand-alone browser window and allows the user to select a template to send, or to create an entirely new message. The resulting email will be tracked in the contact’s Activity History.
